The Roller Coaster

So I was up late the other night watching a documentary on the public station about the Big Bang Theory. Then it hit me.... this world can come to an end at anytime. I mean total extinction. Sure, it would be great to go down in history and become immortal. Or be rich and famous and live in the fast lane. (Careful, many accidents in the fast lane because people don't pay attention) Yeah, people would remember you for years to come and there might be some perks for your accomplishments. The V.I.P. treatment, a school named after you, a foundation named after you, your picture on the front of a magazine..... whatever floats your boat. So yes, for the time being and for years to come life would be great. But look around, even without all of that it's great already. I heard the term "Life Is Like A Roller Coaster" over and over and over again and I finally understand it. (for me anyway) Yes, life has it's ups and downs and we all know and understand that in perspective. BUT, what if you can limit the down time and stay up almost all the time. Life would be great right? So here it is........ sometimes we let the things we can't control get the best of us and it anchors our souls. In this case the economy is hittin us more than we expected and causing other issues to surface. Maybe you argue a little more with your significant other because of financial reasons. The creditors are bugging you with call after call making stupid little threats. Maybe your house is in foreclosure trouble. Or maybe you're no longer needed at the company you've worked for after so many years. Whatever the case may be, YOU ARE FREE. Bound by nothing. So enjoy life as if it were continuously on a roller coaster. The ups and downs are meant to be fun and give you a sense of thrill. So yeah, life is like a roller coaster. When you're born, you get on the ride. During the ride, you live your life. Do what makes you happy/have a great fuckin time. When the ride is over, it was a fun ride. Back to the documentary on KCSM........ the sun will burn for another 5 billion years and when that time comes, life is over as we know it. The earth, being a star, will eventually die and be destroyed. There will be no trace of anything we did. None. So it's kinda like we do it all for nothing but because of politics, economics, popularity and headaches we made ourselves........ we forget what it's really about. Just live. (don't live in jail) hahahaha I found out how I can be immortal. I will love my daughter the best I can and she'll know how much her daddy loved her. She'll look for that love and have it to compare with others. She'll tell her kids how much her daddy loved her ......then her grandkids...... and so on. Yeah, eventually it will come to an end but for the time my love is remembered......... that's what matters to me. So to all my friends, family and my gorgeous girlfriend, enjoy the ride.
